I love cherry-almond soap, and while those notes are present, this fragrance is ever so much more than a two note combination. Working backward, the base of almond and white musk are fantastic without being overbearing. A little bit of jasmine, a hint of patchouli. I own a vintage bottle of 1980’s Shalimar Eau de Parfum; it’s one of my joys. I didn’t expect to like another Guerlain fragrance. I don’t — I love it. I wear this for going out, for dressing up, or just when I’m in the mood to feel young.
